About Biomagnetic Pair Therapy
History:
Biomagnetic Pair Therapy was developed in 1988 by Mexican physician Isaac Goiz Durán. His inspiration came while studying energy medicine—and in particular a seminar in Guadalajara led by Richard Broeringmeyer, who had been exploring how magnetic fields influence the body’s pH and electrical systems. (revistaft.com.br) That exposure motivated Dr. Goiz to pioneer a methodology based on locating two energetically linked points in the body—what he termed a “biomagnetic pair”—and using paired magnets to restore balance. (Biomagnetic Health)
The first biomagnetic pair identified by Dr. Goiz was the thymus–rectum pair, detected during his early clinical work, and he found that by placing magnets of opposite polarity on these points he could influence the body’s pH and energetic state. (revistaft.com.br) Over subsequent years, Dr. Goiz documented hundreds of biomagnetic pairs, taught thousands of practitioners across Mexico, Spain and beyond, and helped build a network of therapists using this non-invasive, magnet-based approach. (FAIM)
In practice, Biomagnetic Pair Therapy uses static magnets placed on specific anatomical points—one magnet positively charged, the other negatively—to support the body’s natural restorative processes. The technique emphasizes that when pH levels shift away from an optimal, it reduces the “normal energy level” in the area, and creates an internal terrain in which pathogens and dysfunctions can thrive. By helping the body return toward balance, this therapy seeks to empower the immune system, restore vitality, and reduce the burden on conventional treatments. (Biomagnetic Wellness)
How It Works
Biomagnetic Pair Therapy uses pairs of medium-strength magnets placed on specific points of the body to help restore natural balance.
Each pair consists of a positive and a negative polarity magnet, working together to help normalize local pH levels, reduce electrical stress, and encourage the body’s innate self-healing response.
Why People Choose This Approach
Non-invasive, natural, and deeply restorative—biomagnetism supports the body’s ability to recover without drugs or surgery.
Practiced for over 35 years in Mexico, Spain, and throughout Latin America, this therapy bridges modern science and clinical observation to explore new possibilities for those seeking to restore function and improve quality of life.

Scientific Research and Data
This section is designed to provide some samples of deeper research for those that want to investigate further. There are far too many studies to list here, so this is just a few selected to represent specific issues that many clients have. Most of the publications have references to related studies, so these can just be a start. Interest in this area has surged since around 2010 and have become very focused around 2020.
Many of these studies are conducted on mice for fast-cycle results and to reduce cost. Most of the time, the subjects are terminated at the end of the experiment for dissection examination. While mice as a whole organism, do not necessarily respond exactly as humans do, most of these studies are focused at either the cellular or organ level, aiming to understand the effects of magnetic fields on baseline biological and physiological systems. There have been 60 to 70 individual mechanisms discovered that begin to explain many of the incredible therapeutic effects we see in Biomagnetism.
Also, there is often some confusion with the terminology relating to the poles of the magnet. Unfortunately, many earlier studies did not control which magnetic pole was used in the experiments, confounding the results. Most of the later studies control this, but often label it with different nomenclature such as upward or downward force to represent positive or negative, north or south poles.

…showed positive analgesic effects of SMFs, which are related to factors including SMF intensity, treatment time, and pain types. Higher intensity and/or longer treatment time, as well as some specific pain types, may have better pain relief effects. Initial mechanistic studies indicated that membrane receptors, such as capsaicin receptor VR1/TRPV1, opioid receptors, and P2X3 receptors, might be involved. By describing experimental evidence and analysis, we found that SMFs actually hold considerable promise for managing some specific types of pain if proper SMF parameters are used….

Cancer – Glioma:
Potential mechanisms and clinical applications of static magnetic field therapy in glioma:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12237630/
Body excerpts:
Section – 3.1. Regulation of cell proliferation and apoptosis
…a study by Zeng et al. (14) showed that exposure to ultra-low frequency gradient static magnetic fields resulted in prominent apoptopic characteristics in tumor tissues of mice, including cell shrinkage, rounded shape, chromatin condensation, and an increased TUNEL-positive rate. Additionally, the tumor DNA content in the magnetic field-treated group decreased, suggesting that the cell cycle was blocked during the synthesis phase, thereby inhibiting cancer cell division (14)….
In summary, static magnetic fields exert antitumor effects on gliomas through multiple mechanisms: inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and inducing cell death, interfering with oncogenic signaling pathways, altering ion balance and the cytoskeleton, inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, and assisting drug penetration across BBB into tumor regions. The complexity of these mechanisms suggest selective effects of magnetic fields on different glioma cells and microenvironments, providing a basis for the development of optimized treatment strategies….
Section – 4.1 Symptom relief
…Magnetic field therapy has emerged as a promising adjunctive treatment in clinical practice due to its lack of significant toxic side effects (27-29). Studies have shown that it not only avoids toxicity but also significantly alleviates systemic symptoms and cancer-related pain in advanced lung cancer patients (11).
Conclusion:
…We anticipate that in the next two decades, static magnetic field therapy will transition from laboratory research to clinical practice, marking a significant milestone in glioma treatment….

Conclusion Excerpt:
…Surprisingly, our data showed that the 1.7-year continuous long-term exposure did not have any detectable harmful effects on these mice. On the contrary, the moderate SMF exposure can even improve the psychological state of naturally aged mice and prolong their survival by reducing the oxidative stress, which was confirmed by PC12 cellular assays…
…the SMF treatment maintained the locomotive and exploratory activity at a younger age mice level. For example, there was no obvious reduction in the locomotive and exploratory activity of the SMF-treated mice at 107 weeks old, compared to the 56-week-old mice. In contrast, in the control group without an SMF treatment, the locomotive and exploratory activity of the mice who were 107 weeks old was decreased by 70.95% compared to the 56 week-old mice….
…Here, we studied the effect of a ~1.7-year moderate, continuous exposure to SMF’s (70-220 mT head-to-toe) on the physiological state of naturally aged mice and found that their lifespan and healthspan were both improved….
…Our animal study and cellular assays both show that these moderate SMF’s of a few hundred mT could effectively reduce the cellular oxidative stress, which consequently improves the exploratory and locomotive activities, as well as the spatial and memory of mice….

My Story...
My journey into Biomagnetism began with a personal quest to help my family, but I didn’t start off with the intent to become a biomagnetic pair therapist. I spent the last 35 years in Research and Development creating new medical devices and wasn’t looking for a new career. My background provided a unique perspective on Biomagnetic Pair Therapy and has helped me find my own unique style.
It all started when my son Alex was born in 2019. My wife developed preclampsia days after the birth. I think this event played a significant part in her decline over the next several years. She had developed severe bladder issues involving extreme frequency, pain and pelvic floor issues which plagued her day and night. After a few years of extreme insomnia, dozens of doctors, and taking every imaginable medication, we took the Covid19 vaccinations. This took her out completely.
Meanwhile, my 13 year old daughter contracted the Covid19 virus and after her recovery, her mystery symptoms began as well. She had been experiencing sleep issues, extreme pain in her joints and extreme gut issues. She got so bad that she couldn’t walk down the stairs. She could barely eat anything without throwing up foam.
Then, my son, who was around 2 1/2 years old, developed a strange rash in the diaper area. It kept spreading and diaper rash cream wouldn’t help. His behavior changed. He became very irritable. A nurse noticed the rash and told us that it was likely a target rash due to Lyme disease. That’s when we remembered that he had been playing with other kids several months earlier on a trampoline that was covered in ticks. We tested him for Lyme disease and he was positive.
Once we got him on antibiotics, we tested both my wife and my daughter, and yes, both were positive for Lyme. We also remembered that my wife had a deer tick in her leg that she removed herself and was left untreated, several months before she became pregnant with my son. We were never sure when my daughter caught it, but they spent the next few years on antibiotics and herbs and had seen many doctors around the US. The symptoms improved for a while in the beginning, but them leveled off. They were all still very sick 2 years later. We were researching and trying everything we could find, and ventured into the holistic therapy world. There we heard about someone who became completely symptom free with biomagnetism, so we thought we would give it a shot.
We found several different biomagnetism experts, which really helped, but it still took more than a year to get ahead of it. It was the only thing that we found that really worked well, but it was still a slow process. That’s when I became interested in learning the skill myself to accelerate their recovery.
I trained to advanced levels with two top experts who were also trained medical doctors, and applied everything I learned to my family. As I built experience, I started to find my own style and thought there might be a faster way, so I developed my own Lyme protocol for them that attacks the problem from a different angle. I used this protocol on both my wife and daughter, but I started with my wife. She improved very rapidly but I was still refining the method as we progressed. I then applied the finished product on my daughter. It took only 5 sessions, one per week, for her to make a full recovery. She was most of the way there by the third session. Today, she is perfectly healthy and living a normal life in her mid-teens. My wife is doing really well also. For the most part, I left my son to the original biomagnetism experts, who did a great job with him. We improved his health incredibly, but discovered in the process that he has a very rare genetic issue called a DLG4 gene mutation, which creates autistic tendencies. One of his symptoms is extreme ADHD which made it very hard to perform my Lyme protocol on him.
My own experience adds to this saga. I am a martial arts fighter and trained hard for many years. I ended up doing damage to my hip joints and now have joint failure in both hips. I had been in terrible pain and had taken handfulls of Advil everyday to manage it before learning to placing magnets. Once I started Biomagnetism, within about 3 to 4 days, I was able to become pain-free state for most of the day. I achieved a completely pain-free state in a few weeks. After about 2 months of pain-focused placements, I did more of a full session on myself to hopefully encourage further recovery. Strangely, I felt the joint literally expand and stabilize overnight. It was the strangest feeling, but it felt great. I even reached a point where I could start running short distances again and lift upwards of 70 pounds without issue. It kept getting more usable and harder to reinjure. Unfortunately, I got a little too excited and managed to push myself way too far, and reinjured it. I do believe that if I hadn’t done that and had kept placing magnets, I would have normalized the joint further, recovering most of it’s functionality within normal ranges of motion.
I will briefly add one more family member to the list. My mom has had many gut issues for the last 40 years from a very rare form of colitis and more recently, diverticulitis. She struggled for many years with extreme symptoms. I taught her to place magnets on her gut and she is now symptom free, without drugs. She also decided to try them on her reoccurring night-time leg cramps. She found that she could completely relax the cramps in a few seconds – and they didn’t return for weeks.
So after achieving success with my family and myself, I began to help many friends with their issues. I helped them with knees, shoulders, migraines, nerve regeneration, gut issues, viruses, pain management, bladder issues, and the list goes on. That’s when it ignited a deep desire to help others that were suffering, find their path back to health and a normal life, as we did.
